These terms set out the basis on which we provide our compliance services to you. Please read them carefully.

1. About these terms

These terms and conditions govern the services provided by Landlord Compliance London to customers ("you"). By booking a service with us, you agree to these terms.

These are customer terms only. They are separate from any agreement we hold with our engineers.

2. Our services

We provide landlord safety certification and related compliance services, including gas safety, electrical (EICR), energy performance (EPC), PAT testing, fire risk assessments, alarm and emergency lighting certificates, boiler servicing and commercial certificates.

All inspections and certificates are carried out by appropriately accredited engineers in accordance with the relevant regulations and standards.

3. Bookings

A booking is confirmed once we have agreed a date and the service required with you. You are responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to the property at the agreed time, including arranging tenant access where applicable.

4. Pricing

All prices quoted include VAT and are all-inclusive, with no hidden call-out charges. Prices are based on the information you provide; if the property or scope differs materially on attendance (for example, additional appliances, alarms or circuits), the price may be adjusted and confirmed with you before work proceeds.

Remedial works, additional materials or installations are quoted separately and only carried out with your approval. Materials are charged at trade price plus a reasonable mark-up, agreed in advance.

5. Payment

Payment is due on completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept bank transfer (BACS) and credit / debit card via Stripe, which can be taken securely over the phone.

Certificates are issued on completion of the work and confirmation of payment.

6. Cancellations & failed access

Please give us reasonable notice if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment. Where our engineer attends at the agreed time but cannot gain access to the property, a call-out charge may apply to cover travel and time.

7. Our guarantee

All workmanship is backed by our 12-month workmanship guarantee. If you believe any work falls short, contact us promptly and we will put it right.

8. Liability

We carry out our services with reasonable care and skill. Our certificates reflect the condition of the installation or property at the time of inspection. We are not liable for pre-existing defects outside the scope of the inspection, for issues arising after our visit due to misuse or third-party works, or for indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

9. Your responsibilities

You confirm that you are authorised to instruct work at the property and that you will provide accurate information about it. You remain responsible for meeting your own legal obligations as a landlord, including acting on any remedial recommendations within the required timescales.

10. Data protection

We handle your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection law. We only use your details to provide quotes, carry out bookings, issue certificates and send service reminders such as renewal notices.

11. Complaints

If you're unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us at landlordcompliancelondon@gmail.com or 07426 409342 and we will acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to resolve it within 14 days. If we are unable to resolve a dispute directly, you may be entitled to use an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) service.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
